Review Text
Susannah Blachly was raised in Cornwall Vermont and began playing classical violin at age 7. She more or less abandoned the instrument in college, and then began fiddling twenty years later (2000). She began writing songs in 2002 and released Girl In The Photograph in May 2004. The CD was released to rave reviews and was voted one of the ten best albums of 2004 by Seven Days, Vermont's premier arts weekly. Robert Resnik, host of Vermont Public Radio's folk show, described Blachly as a 'master composter and performer of many styles of music.' Sing Out! Magazine featured the song 'Secret Place' in it's Summer 2005 issue. Blachly's second CD, 'Middle Of The Night,' is scheduled for release by Oct.1, 2005. Blachly lives in Marshfield, Vermont with her husband and son.
