Steve Baxter, a multitalented trombonist and composer out of Houston Texas, from the award winning high shool jazz ensemble 'Forest Brook' soon after graduating their, off to Howard University where music became focus, performing with local bands, also recording with the Howard University jazz ensemble, performing a tribute to Thelonious Monk, that featured: Grady Tate, Charlie Rouse, Wallace Roney, and Curtist Fuller. Soon after, went on the road with Ray Charles and his Orchestra, Gladys Knight, The O'JAYS, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Temptation, and Four Tops. Next, touring and recording with Horace Silver, Gerald Wilson, Cameo, Gap Band, 13 Cats, Nothing But The Funk, Sing Like Talking, Chikuzen Sato, Hiromi Iwasaki, Beck, Polyester Players, AL McKay Allstars, Prince, Bobby Matos, Johnny Blas, Johnny Polanco, Ricky Minor, Charles Wright and the watts 103rd Street Band, Babyface, Jody Watley, The Crusaders, Barry Manilow, Michael Bolton, Eric Benet, Sheila E, Macy Gray, Ziggy Marley, Hidden Beach Unwrapped Projects volume 1 -3, Patches Stewart, The Wayne Brady Show, American Idol, Soundtracks- Shaft, The Ladies Man, Showtime, 101 Dalmatian, Dysfunktional Family, Italian Job, Drumlines and etc. For the first time, Steve, has recorded his first studio project, it feature's: Paul Jackson jr, Reggie Hamilton, Eddie M, Al McKay, Brion James, Lamont Van Hook, Mica Fisher, Jullie Delgado, Donald Hayes, Dino Soldo, Andre Robertson, Rickey Minor, Land Richards, Harry Kim, Ernie Fields jr.
