Each of the 15 tracks is an original tune, born out of specific performing experiences I've had in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Mississippi. I then took these tunes to two seasoned jazz performers, who brainstormed arrangements with me in the studio. (The percussionist, Willie Koenig, has a dual college degree in percussion & Latin American studies- a perfect blend for this recording!) The result was the best and most creative time I've ever had in the studio.
