Rising from the ashes of their former projects, Souls' Release is a Phoenix for it's members. Founded in 2003, this New Jersey based quartet brings forth rock & roll as it should be: powerful, emotional, truly driven from inside. Joshua Van Ness, Nick Ferriero, Jonathan Andrew, and Sean Calcamuggio work together to create some of the most refreshing rock music of their generation. Fusing elements of classic rock, funk, grunge, and more, the band has truly developed a sound of their own. Fueled by an energetic live show which sparks an undeniable connection between band and audience, Souls' Release regularly tours various regions of the US. Their passionate and sincere performances have been winning the band fans all over the country. During breaks from their busy 2004 performance schedule, Souls' Release recorded tracks for their first CD, 'Go'. The self-produced four-song EP was released to rave reviews. Hailed as 'One of the Top Ten Local Releases of 2004' by Gary Wien of Upstage Magazine, 'Go' has served as a springboard to many exciting things for the band. The first half of 2005 found Souls' Release back in the studio recording their debut full-length album 'Through the Feeling' with veteran producer Bob Perry. Sessions for 'Through the Feeling' (released September 2005) were held at Mix-O-Lydian in northern New Jersey, which has hosted Blues Traveler, Mick Jagger, and Peter Gabriel, to name a few. Upon the release of this greatly anticipated record, Souls' Release will return to the road to continue converting listeners to fans, one show at a time.
