Review Text
The second Shy Nobleman album was released in Israel in 2006. It was a big hit, becoming the most successful indie album of the time. Different from the debut album, it has much more of a rocknroll/power pop sound and groove. The main theme of the texts is based around the breakup, singer Shy, had with his girlfriend at the time. The opening song," Girlfriend", was a Hugh radio hit in the holy-land. Spending six months on the charts. It was followed by "Baby in the rain", a McCartney (wings era)-like rocker which was another top 10 hit on the national radio. These two together with "2 could be better than 1","Animals","One of a kind" and "Come join the team" are power pop classics. Also on the album are 2 gorgeous ballads: "Wonderful" which is a stand out track (a lush duet with guitarist, Geva Alon), and the mellow- psych "Picture on the wall". The 60's British psych sound of "How to be shy" is represented by the title track which transform from a country song to a lush ballad with some heavy strings and "Copenhagen" which sounds more like a Scott Walker tune, with a brass section and a deep baritone vocal. The CD contains 3 music videos and a picture gallery.
