In late 2008 singer/songwriter Zachary Goode turned to his friends James "Spooky" Albers, Twon Ridenhour, and Troy Rippengale to flesh out his acoustic songs of lost love and nostalgic Cape Cod summers. All veterans of the diverse San Diego music scene, the studio project quickly grew into a full-fledged band called The Secret Seven. The resulting debut album is an ambitious blend of catchy, harmony-laden rock and symphonic minor-key weirdness that was quickly nominated as 'Best Rock Album' at The San Diego Music Awards.
