Damon Floyd has been referred to as one of Atlanta's best kept secrets for many years. The Reedbed was originally conceived as a side project, but once the writing and arrangement begin, Floyd knew he was on to something good. Enlisting the help of friends and a few Atlanta notables he has crafted a record that sounds like all your favorite elements mixed into a tasty sonic dish. A few unexpected twists happen in the form of some soaring male/female harmony vocals and Floyd's 'not bluegrass' banjo, plus a positively haunting vocal turn from newcomer Calli Southern on 'Sometimes It's All Right.' A slam dunk introduction from what is surely to become a band to watch in the next few years.
