This C.D. is a collection of Louisiana themed songs. ' Operation Gumbo Drop', was written from my trips made to Ground Zero after Sept. 11th, with a group called ' The Gumbo Krewe'. We cooked cajun food for all the firefighters, police, and rescue workers there. ' You Don't Even Know Me' was another song that came from a trip with 'The Gumbo Krewe', we cooked and served the Marines at Camp LeJune, N.C., as they returned home from Afghanistan. ' What They Doin 'Round Here', reflects the frustration of seeing our swamps & marshlands in Louisiana, being destroyed by coastal erosion, and land development. ' Katrina', tells the story of Katrina the way I saw it. These are some of the songs on the C.D.. Hope you enjoy this collection of tunes. Reed.
