Wouter Planteydt - Jotters Whiffle

(SACD-HYBRID) Wouter Planteydt is well respected in the Dutch Music Scene as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer. The concept for this album was to get together a few carefully selected, very capable musicians, in an acoustic session and record it live and direct, with no tricks or dubs. Apart from the pedal steel guitar that just has to be amplified, it turned out to be a very acoustic recording indeed. Wouter pulls out soulful renditions of songs by Bobby Charles, Robbie Robertson, Dr. John, Loudon Wainwright III, Bob Dylan and of course himself.
