Come along as the Roberts explore the many layers of Athens, deemed by many to be the birthplace of Western civilization and still dishing out the culture. The adventure begins on an overnight ferry from Italy to Patra, in the Peloponnese, and then a bus to Athens. The family checks into a hotel on Syntagma Square, where the kids are fascinated by the changing of the guard, with views of the Acropolis. After roaming through the National Gardens, they discover the ancient Olympic Stadium.
