The musicians are all soloists in their own right; however, they are led by the ubiquitous violinist, Jack Liebeck. The recording has given Chasing The Dragon the opportunity to compare a variety of microphone techniques, which they do in the second half of the album. You can compare valve vs transistor mics and the sound of analogue 1\/2 master tape running at 30 IPS vs digital at 24 \/ 192, all recorded at the same time. They have even used their binaural head - which sounds great on headphones! Contains 10 tracks on Compact Disc.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Chasing the Dragon","offers":[{"title":"New \/ CD \/ Mendelssohn's Octet Chasing the Dragon","offer_id":47240522334516,"sku":"CHDG15.2","price":45.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0790\/7436\/1652\/files\/4221029-2985518_f7fea231-f2a8-420c-9e15-5710ccbb4aff.jpg?v=1792603452","url":"https:\/\/www.fye.com\/products\/the-locrian-ensemble-mendelssohn-s-octet_aec-chdg15-2","provider":"FYE","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
