Strings Arguments - The Encounter

Strings Arguments is made of three members of SIX NORTH (Respectively guitarist, bassist and drummer), KBB's violinist and guitarist Hirofumi OKAMOTO. "The Encounter" has been recorded live in Kyoto in 2002. Those five wizards perform an exceptional instrumental music, and this for various reasons: it's a kind of Progressive jazz-rock that combines improvisations and written musical structures. Listening to this, you'll probably remember Al Di MEOLA, WEATHER REPORT, Pat METHENY and Jean-Luc PONTY, to give just a few examples. The violin's lyricism is perfectly tuned to the two guitars' inspiration, and all this is supported by an incredibly precise and groovy rhythm section. With both experimental sequences and quite emotive melodious moments, Strings Arguments creates a very much alive and dynamic musical world: simply brilliant !
