The Strides are a Sydney 11 piece Afrobeat/Reggae oufit who follow staunchly the traditions of revered international counterparts - folks like Antibalas, Augustus Pablo, Fela Kuti, Soul Jazz Orchestra, The Wailers, Tony Allen et al. This formula has led to a string of high profile support slots during 2009, and of course this fabulous debut! Their deep, heavy dance rhythms & powerful horns have been keeping dancefloors heaving!
