Sarafina!

In 1976, Sarafina (Leleti Khumalo) was a student in the Soweto section of Johannesburg, who idolized her activist teacher Mary Masembuko (Whoopi Goldberg). In the wake of Masembuko's arrest, however, she would help spearhead the inflammatory schoolchildren's uprising against government-mandated instruction in Afrikaans.
