Ever since it's inception in 1996, Roc-A-Fella Records has been a hip-hop dynasty that's housed some the culture's most beloved artists. On the Roc Boyz Compilation, DJ LRM does an excellent job reminding folks why the Roc was on top of the hip-hop world for so long as he rounds up the label's most devoted troops for a mesmerizing lyrical carnival. Throughout much of the collection, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Memphis Bleak and Tru Life contribute smooth compositions that earned them praise from their respective previous albums. Kanye West also drops a few gems like "The Good Life" and "Flashing Lights," and even the Roc's legendary leader Jay-Z gets in on the fun. It's genuine artists like these who have made Roc-A-Fella Records a staple in the music industry.
