Randy Napoleon - Jukebox Crowd

I've had the good fortune to travel with some fantastic groups over the years. Benny Green, The Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra, Michael Buble, and Freddy Cole, to name a few. One similarity I noticed was a concern with the presentation of the music. Mr. Cole says 'It's not only about how well you play.' This is my attempt to present my music in a clear, concise way. I want to emphasize the song, the groove. Some jazz today is focused on abstraction of melody and feel. I have a hard time listening to much of it. This isn't intended to be a museum piece. I've tried to preserve the intent of the music that I love, not the specific content. Music that makes you pop your fingers, clap your hands. Jazz that you would put a coin in the jukebox to hear.
