New Bad Things - Ennui

Re-promotion of a classic from Portland, OR's The New Bad Things. Ennui Go is a comparatively more pop-oriented record than it's predecessor, Freewheel!. Thankfully, though, all of the traits that made Freewheel! So appealing are back in force - the pop hooks are still there, the loose, fun and reckless approach to construction remains, and the pure K-style indie charm is as strong as ever. The only real change lies in the switch from pure low-fi rock to more adventurous pop forms. While the reckless energy of Freewheel! #is a casualty, Ennui Go is an equally fine (and occasionally better) release.
