'Taking A Mulligan', MFC's first release, is a CD that offers a rich variety of musical styles that includes blues rock, country rock, funk, jazz and reggae. It includes ten original compositions and four covers that have been rearranged by the band. Mother, Flag & Country was known for their strong instrumentation and lush vocals and for all those who enjoy this combination there will be no disappointment. The 'Ballad Of Elijah' kicks off the CD in grand style with it's powerful, driving rhythms and strong vocal performance. 'Back Together Again' is a catchy look at the band's journey to making this album and is a great example of their vocal blend. Rediscovering their roots, MFC presents a series of blues songs including the Joe Walsh-like 'Deadly' and 'Midnight Train' each driven by slide guitar. 'Headed For Hard Times' and 'Wait For The Meds' are bluesy commentaries on modern life in America. The bands take on Robert Plant's 'Since I Been Lovin' You' and Percy Mayfield's 'Please Send Me Someone To Love' retain all the power of the originals yet show off the instrumental, vocal and arrangement capabilities that MFC is known for. Daryl Patrick's Irish ballad 'Nothin' NoWhere' shows off the groups vocals and highlights Daryl's incredible voice. Other band influences become obvious in 'Name Your Game' and 'Lookin' For Love' and Bob's great vocal on 'Only A Fool' will have everyone singing along. Don't miss your opportunity to hear one of the great East Coast bands from the 1970's playing tunes that will rock you today!! Order or download your album right now!!!
