Lou was a Detroit artist who established himself in the '60s where he first worked as a writer and producer with Barbara Lewis. In the '70s, he was signed as an artist to legendary producer Jerry Ragovoy's Rags label through Epic. Hereafter he was briefly a member of The Fifth Dimension.
