Sony/Legacy's Box Set Series presents this four-disc anthology of country legend Johnny Cash, Like other country legends of his ilk, Cash was an extremely prolific recording artist throughout his lifetime, and this 45-song set covers most of his major commercial hits and best-known work spanning from his Sun Records years in the mid-'50s through his 1983 cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Highway Patrolman." Cash's catalogue has been well-documented over the years and there are certainly other sets that go deeper, but this is a nice budget-friendly way to own good-sounding recordings of his major songs.
