Jim Faddis - One More Ride

For the past decade, Jim Faddis has fronted one of the Pacific Northwest's most successful bluegrass bands, Prairie Flyer. While Prairie Flyer continues to roll on with no sign of stopping, Jim has fulfilled a long-time dream of releasing a solo project featuring original songs performed in a mellower Americana style. Jim's originals have always been a primary ingredient in Prairie Flyer's wide popularity, and on One More Ride he unveils a dozen new songs that prove why he is one of the most respected songwriters in the Northwest bluegrass scene. Drawing on influences like Steve Earle, Guy Clark and Merle Haggard, Jim paints vivid characters plagued with regret, longing and heartbreak, and sings their stories in his haunting high tenor voice with understated and tasteful accompaniment from Dale Adkin's guitar, Jeff Smith's mandolin and Alex Hargreaves' fiddle.
