Honey Month - Foliage

2010 album from the Australian Alt-Rock outfit. After starting off as a Punk band, this group of Brisbane teens formed an obsession with unconventional instruments and acts like Beirut and Neutral Milk Hotel. Hiring a piano accordion, melodica, musical saw, kalimba, mandolin, double bass and ukulele and a move to more emotive, wide screen folk-tinged epics. Very quickly, they started some serious buzz with many a major label keen to sign them. But they opted to release their debut through Briz indie Useless Art.
