Guillaume Libert - Jean Sablon

The career of Jean Sablon, the renound French crooner, is a good example of someone who, not particularly warmly welcomed by their own country, goes on to create a big name for themselves abroad. Paris in the 20's and 30's wasn't quite ready for his resolutely modern repertoire of upbeat rhythms and jazz tendencies. The Americas proved more accepting of his styles and he quickly became known as the French Troubadour.
