After a long parenthesis dedicated to acoustic jazz, Gael Horellou returns to the merger with an oscillating atmospheric album between jazz and electro-instrumental experimentation.Synthesis is positioned in the continuity of the Explorations album released in 2006: it's a "hovering" and radically modern, serving a music knowing remain faithful to the aesthetic and spiritual commitment of elders (John and Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders Yusef Lateef...).At the crossroads between jazz and electronic music, the machines are used to prepare a multidimensional setting within which the musicians without being disowned that the fundamental elements of jazz: the game, rhythm, harmony and improvisation.Beyond jazz influences in the Synthesis are very diverse, ranging from contemporary music (Terry Riley, Steve Reich...) to dub (Bill Laswell, Mad Professor...).
