In 1970, an intergalactic spacecraft bearing an android emissary (Tilda Swinton) missed it's intended target of MIT-and landed instead in Amman, Jordan, at the height of the Black September conflict. Bonded by her PLO captors into the care of a hard-drinking British war correspondent (Bill Patterson), the curious construct finds her comprehensive ethical programming met with a possibly insurmountable challenge.
