Fang Wizard - Pure Hex

Limited milky clear vinyl LP pressing. 2011 debut from the D.C. instrumentalists. Pure Hex is 16 tracks that defy genre and yet each track seems to have a genre of it's own. Underlying each song is a strong sense of Pop melody with an experimental backbone. Their sound has the mysteriousness of the Residents, the instrumental quirkiness of the Books, the melodic notes of the Velvet Underground, the badass of Suicide and the excitement of Captain Beefheart.
