When his political stances inflamed the Peronistas, he was deported in 1966 and fled to Europe, eventually settling in East Germany in 1973. He became popular throughout the territories behind the iron curtain, both for his films and recordings. This disc compiles the best of his recordings from his years in the Eastern bloc.
