David Rothenberg - Whale Music

The most unusual music ever made out of the sounds of whales, featuring clarinet played live in the ocean with humpbacks, belugas, and killer whales, also compositions fine-tuned in the studio out of never-before-heard whale songs. Features two ECM violinists, Michelle Makarski and Nils Oslashkland, and it is released in tandem with Rothenberg's new book Thousand Mile Song, which will be promoted nationwide by Basic Books in May.
