Darren Jack - Solo Sessions

Sydney's Darren Jack is a powerful vocalist and one of Australia's top blues guitarists. He is a performer that exudes emotion and a feel for every note emanating from his guitar, which is more an extension of not just of his hands but of his very soul. Starting out with the blues rock power Trio 'Third Degree' in the late '90's, Darren spent the last half of the 00's working on his solo career. Since then he has been refining his guitar and vocal work and evolving his song writing direction while retaining his true faith to the blues. Holding his own at many of Australia's most important blues festivals, Darren has played alongside the very artists that heavily influenced his youth, opening and sharing the stage with Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Canned Heat, Ford Blues Band, George Thorogood, Chris Cain, Andy Just, Long John Baldry and Australia's own legends, Kevin Borich, Ian Moss, Jeff Lang, Phil Emmanuel, Dave Hole and Chain over the years. With his new album 'Better Place' in August 2011, it will showcase his new soulfully delivered songs and will be a representation of Darren Jack as a serious song writer. Underneath the silk of this craftily composed album, he has retained that harder edged guitar driven blues that defines his life journey.
