Billy Taylor - Urban Griot

Commissioned by the Wharton Center for the Perf. Arts of Michigan State Univ., Urban Griot is comprised of nine movements each of which deals with a different musialc theme forming the basis for improvisation by Taylor with Chip Jackson on bass and Winard Harper on drums.
