Formed in Madrid in 2001, the Leonor Quartet won Spanish National Radio's Ojo Critico prize in 2011 for "masterfully representing the consolidation of chamber music with Spanish repertoire of wide-ranging aesthetics." the quartet's interest in chamber music of Spanish composers has led it to record works by Anton Garcia Abril for Verso.
