Shahnameh, The Persian Book of Kings is an epic poem written by Iranian poet Ferdowsi between 977 and 1010 C.E. It is the national epic of Iran and the Persian-speaking world. Consisting of some 50,000 verses, Shahnameh tells the mythical and, to some extent, the historical past of the Persian Empire from the creation of the world until the Islamic conquest of Persia in the seventh century. This is part two of the audio book collection which narrates the stories of three heroes from three generations of the same family who lived in the era of king Manuchehr. Nusha Sepehri, who is 10 years old, uses simple words in her narrative so that both children and adults can follow the stories and enjoy them. The same stories are also available in the Persian language in a separate collection as interpreted and read by Nusha's father, Afshin Sepehri.
