Gentle nature sounds provide background, inspiration, and flow on many tracks. Listener comments: Composer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Wall presents a sweeping soundscape that stirs the soul with it's gentle harmonies and noble spirit. The music offers an interesting mix of Native American and Asian themes - in both cases evoking a sense of healing and spiritual longing. Native flutes act as a focal point in the music, sometimes capturing the haunting earthiness of the Southwest, while at others feeling more at home in the foothills of the Himalayas. Wall uses guitar to provide a subtle sense of warmth to the music, while chimes, bells, singing bowls and drone instruments provide an air of enchantment. The finishing touch is the use of keyboards and nature sounds to create a tranquil backdrop. The music is well suited for healing practices and massage, offering a sublime hour-long set of compositions that will leave you feeling peace and joy. -Music Design In Review I have been practicing massage for 18 years I have listened to a lot of music that is intended to inspire the listener to relax. This album really hits the mark. The composer, Mike Wall, effortlessly creates an unhurried yet melodic sanctuary for the mind, body, and spirit. This is one of those rare gems in the massage/yoga world that will have you on the first listen and will be a comfortable companion for years to come. After 18 years I can count the number of albums that have done this for me on one hand. After performing many massages, yoga, and taking the occasional nap to it, I am certain Mike Wall's latest compilation is now one of those albums. -BJ Erkan Bothell Integrated Health.
