My journey to achieving the release of my first four songs has been quite interesting from a musicians perspective. Yes, I studied music in college and even have my Masters in Music from a school that has groomed stars in the classical and musical theater arenas; but my path took a detour from a strictly musical focus to one that taught me more than I could ever learn in a classroom, on a stage or in a music lesson. It was a path that led me into cancer healthcare for the past eight years and I'll be forever grateful God opened the doors He did for me to serve cancer patients and their families. Throughout that time I did use my music in such a powerful way that the health benefits of music literally appeared before my eyes as I sang to a patient who suffered from high blood pressure and her pressure lowered as I sang one of her favorite hymns. I learned that as an artist my music can be used to a far greater extent than mere entertainment, but can change the heart, soul and health of a person. If we each are open to our own unique gifts and will allow God to use them He can do far greater than we can hope, ask or imagine if we just let Him in to do it!
