Review Text
On his debut CD 'streaming' Hans-Christian Dellinger displays the saxophone from a hitherto almost unknown angle - as an unaccompanied solo instrument. In his compositions and improvisations he creates soundscapes reminiscent of Johann Sebastian Bach's latent polyphony and Philip Glass' meditative structures and repetitive patterns. Dellingers' soprano, alto and tenor saxophones soar up to heights which leave the mundane far behind and entice the listener to contemplative regions. The pure clarity of the notes and sounds captured in a mighty ecclesiastical building is pure emotional and acoustic enjoyment. Music of timeless beauty and touching serenity.
