Bio of Fresh Fire Fresh Fire group members include Matt Lowery, Marcella Wies, Cheryl Lundberg & Brent Luck. Three of the members met for the first time in 2008 while ministering together at a meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. In early 2009, the newly formed Fresh Fire group flew to Nashville, Tennessee to lay down music tracks at TBN's Trinity Music City Recording Studio. This was followed by recording vocal tracks and additional instruments at Choice Productions Studios in Phoenix. CD includes picture video & full lyrics when played on your computer. Matt Lowery has been singing professionally for over a decade. A protégé of nationally renowned jazz vocalist Lisanne Lyons, he also studied jazz extensively under Chip McNeill, the former long-time musical director and tenor saxophonist for Grammy-winning recording artist Arturo Sandoval and legendary jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. Matt is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he had dual majors, Vocal Performance and Financial Planning. Matt has had the honor of sharing the studio and the stage with many musical giants. Matt produced his debut solo album Should Time Allow on HouseKat Records. Upon it's release, the album received substantial airplay on jazz radio stations nationwide. In 2001, he produced a live performance recording entitled Matt Lowery - A Live One!. Matt also landed principal and chorus roles in several regional theater productions of smash-hit Broadway shows such as Jekyll & Hyde, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Guys and Dolls. Matt's hometown is Richmond, Virginia, but he has lived in Greenville, South Carolina, Salt Lake City, Utah, San Luis Obispo, California, and now resides in Phoenix, Arizona. He recently became the newest member of Christian contemporary group Fresh Fire where he arranged many vocal parts during the recording. Matt is thrilled to be a part of Fresh Fire and excited to share music that brings glory to God. Cheryl Lundberg has been a traveling singer and songwriter since age thirteen. Early in her career, she wrote a church musical entitled The Lamb. Cheryl gained critical experience in the early 90's as CEO/part owner in an independent gospel record label, where she bill-boarded a number 3 gospel hit. In the late 90's Cheryl produced her first solo recording Karla Faye Tucker, Forevermore which was picked up by indie Movie Producer-Director, Helen Gibson. The movie, also titled Karla Faye Tucker, Forevermore aired world-wide on TBN and Daystar cable networks. Her song, "In My Arms," from that release received airplay on gospel radio stations across the USA. In 1996 Cheryl released her first worship CD Worship Into The Heavenlies and in 2010 she released Breath Of Heaven, both on Fresh Fire Records. Twelve songs on the Breath Of Heaven release were written or co-written by Cheryl. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and is Founder-Producer of Fresh Fire Records & Publishing. Marcella Wies is a singer and gifted songwriter. She began her ministry at the age of eleven in the evangelistic field with her brother, Roger Aikens, of Atlanta, Georgia. Later Marcella attended Rhema and Oral Roberts University with studies in Christian Education and Pastoral Counseling. In 1988 she was in charge of Nora Lamb's Children's Crusades in China where 4,500 children prayed the sinner's prayer. Marcella also served as Pastor of Music and Drama for fourteen years at a large church in central California, where she produced and directed Christian productions at the Civic Center as a free outreach to the community. Marcella sings under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and has shared the platform with several national Christian artists. She co-wrote Being Here With You on the Breath Of Heaven release.
