This project arose largely from not feeling there was a venue to have my own Judaic worship needs met. While my genre may yet evolve, I'm excited about how things came out on this first effort and I really had a lot of fun experimenting. Within an indefinite sabbatical, I decided to throw off any confinement, test the waters and see if anyone had a taste for an up beat somewhat heavier genre of worship that I did. So this demo is a collective of songs I had written for services and holidays (mostly Passover). My favorite response thus far has been "if Led Zeppelin were Jewish and lived on a farm in Spain this is what it would sound like" -I think it was a complement? I guess I found poetic expression for the name Feast of Ravens as kind of a celebration of worship on the fringe of culture. As for a textual reference, ravens were the servants of God ordained to make provision for His prophet Elijah. So then, Elijah dined on the feast of ravens.
