"Ernie K-Doe was an American R&B singer hailing from New Orleans. He is better known for his recorded work in the early 60s, including hit singles "Mother In Law" and "A Certain Girl" which topped R&B charts. Despite success in the early 60s, his career faltered until a comeback in 1971 with the release of his self-titled album on Janus Records. This record is a unique showcase of soulful R&B and New Orleans funk, full of heartfelt love songs and infections grooves. "Here Come The Girls" remains the staple classic from this record.
