Over an hour of instrumental acoustic guitar arrangements of American public domain songs by Grammy winning guitarist Doug Smith. Doug is also a international Fingerstyle Guitar Champion. He had a small part in the film August Rush, but is currently in rehearsals for the Broadway bound stage play based on the movie and will be featured on stage throughout the play on guitar and other string instruments."These are some of my favorite tunes from American musical history. Beautiful traditional melodies like Shenandoah and Beautiful Brown Eyes, fun romps like Cindy and Old Joe Clark, cowboy songs like Red River Valley and My Horses Ain't Hungry, gritty bluesy songs like Erie Canal, songs by American composers like Stephen Foster and Edward MacDowell, and hymns from Southern Harmony.
