David B. Dollar has been creating and performing music for most of his short life. Guitaring, singing, drumming, writing - he dabbles in them all. Well connected in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill scene of North Carolina, he is on the cusp of releasing his very first recording. This music is, without a doubt, David's own brand of indie rock and pop. As one local reviewer suggested, there is a certain 'classicism' about his music that lends itself to familiar melodies and arrangements of years past while still maintaing a modern, creative flavor that is unique among his peers. The Beatles, Explosions in The Sky, Motown, Pink Floyd, and early Weezer, are just scratching the surface of Dollar's many influences. There is also a versatility to his songwriting, as you'll hear on his debut EP 'Benefit Of The Doubt'. Lots of guitar tones, organs, percussion, and even a trumpet, ended up on the record. As you'll hear, there is a quality to Dollar's music that promises a bright and sunshiny future as a recording artist and performer.
