Gordon Bok recorded this album of his long-time song-swapping friend up there in Maine. Before they met, each thought he was the only person in the whole state interested in folk music. Kendall was reared in Machias, worked in a sardine packing plant as a youth, became the skipper of a fisheries inspection vessel as an adult, and along the way became a great yarn-spinner & jokester. All the while, he kept singing folksongs like these. Gordon adds his 12-string to the mix, and sings harmony on some of the choruses, too.
