The second full-length by North Carolina screamo act
Alesana finds the sextet inching ever closer to the mall punk mainstream. Where the pretentiously titled debut,
On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax, was focused primarily on lead singer
Dennis Lee's forced screams and growls, the more commercially minded
Where Myth Fades to Legend makes far greater use of the band's clean vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist
Shawn Milke, whose appealingly whiny voice is more suited to the hooks-and-riffs songwriting that predominates here. Simply on that basis, the album is an improvement over their debut, and
Where Myth Fades to Legend is conceivably of interest to some subset of the
Vans Warped Tour crowd.

solid cd
alesana did a great job on where myth fades to legend. many of the songs are catchy and make u want to dance, and there are a few that are just alright. i recommend red and dying evening, and all night dance parties in the underground palace. the screaming could definetely use some work but overall, its a terrific album, tdwp fans and former alesana fans this is a must-buy.

AMAZING album
mazing album! By far one of the most creative and interesting albums I've heard in a long time. Alesana raised the bar on this album, evolving with even more catchy hooks and story-filled lyrics that really grab you and don't let go! From beginning to end, the band seamlessly blends genres to present a unique sound that is above and beyond any of the other bands currently occupying the same scene. Their undeniable musical skill and talent for song writing really shows in every single track. This album is high quality hard rock music that I can't stop listening to.
