Rykodisc's Week in Hawaii series is part of the Atmosphere Collection, which presents continuously tracked nature sounds for optimum relaxation and meditation. Volume eight of the series, entitled Midnight Rainshower, features a 60-minute recording of a lush tropical rainstorm captured from under the palms in the Big Island's Kalopa Park Nature Reserve. Interspersed with the falling rain are the sounds of the occasional passing animal, or the chirps and calls of tropical birds.
