Gamers head back into the shadows as they take the role of a stealthy ninja in Tenchu Z. Designed to reward concealed kills and actions, players are encouraged to sneak up on foes and offer them a silent death. Unlike previous Tenchu releases, Z invites gamers to create their own pair of characters by using several customization options including altering certain skills, physical features, and the clothing of an avatar. Players then lead their team through 50 levels of ninja action. Gamers may sneak through each environment by using a grappling hook to swing onto rooftops, or engage the help of smoke bombs, poison rice, and throwing stars to confuse and disorient the enemy.

Very good game if you like the genere. Graphics are solid (its no gears of war)but a good looking game overall, the textures could be better. Gameplay is improved, the stealth kills are awesome, the character customization and creation features are pretty cool. There are over 50 missions and online play so the replay value is great.The combat system needs improvement, its hard to stay locked on to an enemy while blocking. But if you are a fan of stealth games this is one of the best.
