On their Matador Records debut T.L.A., Detroit's Demolition Doll Rods crank out the drag-queen glam punk that made their reputation as one of the most outrageous, entertaining, scantily-clad groups since the heyday of the Motor City's rock scene. The Rods' dirt-and-glitter sound is matched by the band's visuals, which show off the guitarist's cross-dressing, Iggy Pop style and the drummer and bassist's ample curves. T.L.A. capitalizes on the band's sexy style in its multi-media portion, which includes live footage and a "Dress the Doll Rods" game. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
