Recorded in Holland in 1987, two years before Franco's death, sound quality aside, this is far superior to any of his studio LPs. It has a joyousness, a...something I've not heard on other recordings; the dynamics and timbres shift from mood to mood as the songs progress; it's far more adventurous than any Diblo disc for example (some of it sounds positively West African!).
