Everyone's favorite nautical nut is back in the DVD SpongeBob SquarePants - Halloween. Paramount has done a fine job at making sure this 1.33:1 full frame transfer is clear of any major defects or imperfections. The colors are all solid and bright without any grain, edge enhancement or other stumbling blocks marring the image. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo in English and sounds very nice. While there aren't a lot of directional effects or surround sounds to be found on this disc, overall the 2.0 mix is serviceable with crystal clear music, dialogue and bubbling effects. A few bonus features have been tacked onto this disc, starting with five extra Halloween episodes that will thrill both children and adults. A music video titled "Scardy Pants" will have the kids tapping their feet while a video game sneak peak allows the parents to get their wallets ready for more SpongeBob SquarePants fun.
