A Want Ad for Madness.
Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh star in this well-acted psychological thriller based on John Lutz's novel, SWF Seeks Same. Fonda plays a self-employed N.Y. fashion designer, who places an ad in the papers for a roommate to share her apartment with, unware that her latest resempient (Leigh) turns out to be the Roommate from Hell! Warning: The next time you decide to place an ad for a roommate, be sure to check out that person's background first. Because he or she might not whom they appear to be on the surface. Also starring Steven Weber, Peter Friedman, Stephen Tobolowsky, Frances Bay, Rene Estevez, and Ken Tobey. Followed by a direct-to-video sequel.
