Sony's in-house NBA series continues with another season of basketball action and behind-the-scene theatrics in NBA 09: The Inside. "The Life" mode returns with a brand new storyline, this time letting gamers guide three different characters through a series of both on-the-court and off-the-court challenges, earning rewards and endorsements along the way. In-game commentary has been reworked with the addition of Kenny Smith as the color analyst, and graphical flourishes include livelier arenas and enhanced character modeling and movement. Gamers who favor quick action can eschew The Life mode in favor of 16 unique mini-games.
