Elizabeth crosses paths with a series of lost souls whose yearnings are even greater than her own -- including a troubled cop (
David Strathairn), his estranged wife (
Rachel Weisz), and an embittered gambler (
Natalie Portman) -- their emotional turmoil ultimately helps her gain a greater understanding of her own problems.

A Romantic Drama a la Mode.
Chinese film director, Wong Kar Wai makes his American directorial debut as Grammy Award-winning singer, Norah Jones makes her acting debut in this deliciously appetizing romantic drama as she plays a jilted woman, who goes on a cross-country odyssey to find true love never realizing it was inside a New york City diner all the time. What a tasty way to meet someone. Jude Law also stars as the diner's owner, along with David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman, Frankie Faison, Chan Marshall, Adriane Lenox, Nate Bynum, and Benjamin Kanes.
